During its construction, the church spent a total of 30,972 guilders. Several figures were involved, including Ir. Marius J. Hulsuit as the designer, C. Vis, Van’t Pad, and Bourguignon as contractors, and Moulijn as the construction supervisor.
Construction of the church commenced on May 11, 1905, following the laying of the cornerstone by Father G.D.A. Jonckbloet, S.J., and was completed within seven months. The construction of the twin towers, standing at a height of 33 meters, began in 1930.
