MALANG, Tugujatim.id – The Faculty of Psychology at Universitas Malang (UM) has embarked on a groundbreaking project in collaboration with Grab Indonesia and Benihbaik.com to develop an inclusive school environment at SMPN 8 Malang. This initiative aims to prepare the school, both in terms of human resources and the school environment, to better support students with special needs, aligning with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 10: Reduced Inequalities.

The Expert Team Involved in This Project Includes:
– Dr. Tutut Chusniyah
– Prof. Dr. Maisyaroh, M.Pd
– Dr. Sri Untari, M.Pd
– Dr. Imanuel Hitipeuw, M.A
The activities, which took place from July 11 to July 18, 2024, comprised workshops and training sessions on inclusive curriculum development, introduction to child-friendly and safe schools, and talent assessment. These efforts contribute directly to:
– SDG 4: Quality Education – Ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all.
– SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities – Reducing inequality within and among countries by ensuring equal access to education and promoting inclusive policies.

This initiative underscores UM’s commitment to fostering an inclusive educational environment that affirms and supports all students, regardless of their individual needs. Through this partnership, the goal is to create a model of inclusive education that can be replicated in other schools throughout Indonesia, thereby contributing to the broader achievement of the SDGs.
