MALAYSIA, Tugujatim.id – Tugu Media Group, the media company behind Tugumalang.id and Tugujatim.id, is expanding its international network through a partnership with Hospital Penawar in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia on Tuesday (22/10/2024).
The signing of this international partnership took place in the meeting room of Hospital Penawar, located in the Trade Center, 81700 Pasir Gudang, Malaysia. Tugu Media Group’s CEO, Irham Thoriq, accompanied by the Business Director of Tugu Media Group, Fajrus Sidiq, signed the memorandum of understanding with Penawar Group’s CEO, Dr. Mohd. Adnan Sulaiman.
The collaboration between Tugu Media Group and Hospital Penawar aims to benefit both the Indonesian and Malaysian communities through informative health education content.
The public will also receive comprehensive information about Hospital Penawar, a private hospital in Malaysia that offers complete facilities at affordable costs. This will provide Indonesian citizens considering medical treatment abroad with a viable option for their healthcare needs.
Irham Thoriq, CEO of Tugu Media Group, expressed his hopes for this partnership with Hospital Penawar. He believes the two institutions can work together to provide the public with valuable information, particularly in terms of healthcare services.
Additionally, the collaboration with Hospital Penawar, a well-established hospital with 32 years of experience as a premier private healthcare provider in Malaysia, is anticipated to support medical tourism. This approach allows patients to receive affordable care abroad while feeling as though they are on vacation.
“This partnership is expected to bring positive contributions from both sides, enabling us to deliver health information and education to the community,” said Irham Thoriq.

Meanwhile, Dr. Adnan Sulaiman, CEO of Penawar Group, shared that the partnership with Tugu Media Group is a commitment by Hospital Penawar to ensure that Indonesians can access information on healthcare options with complete facilities at affordable prices in Malaysia.
He noted a trend of Indonesians seeking healthcare abroad at considerable expense. This, according to Dr. Adnan, presents an opportunity for Hospital Penawar and Tugu Media Group to offer accessible information about medical services that Indonesians can utilize for treatment abroad.
